Today I took the day mostly off except for one conversation with RL who loaned me his Laurent flute for study. Then meeting Tami who runs CBs Nuts who we just found out has roots on Block Island. Looking at family trees revealed that she and Nancy are cousins 5 times removed. We had a lovely meet and greet and walk at Point No Point. Afterwards I took a long nap and then we had a ling dinner on the porch with Lila who came over to see Alice.
Tomorrow I am heading to London via Zoom to attend the monthly meeting of the Society of Ornamental Turners. My friend David Lindow will be presenting his 5th MADELathe made back in Pennsylvania. One of these magnificent lathes (# 4) is close by in Poulsbo.
Then we are off to see the Naval Undersea Rescue Vehicle in Keyport. Nancy’s Uncle Gus was the project manager for the 1st iteration. They used much of that boat for this version. And then the airport to see Alice off. Then back to life as abnormal…
Have a great weekend! Will see you next week!
